PERFORMANCE DIAGNOSTICS & MONITORING

Key for successful training and race results is a permanent and continuous monitoring of activities to be able to improve and compare findings and to identify trends and potentials. To facilitate this to a maximum the FourSense concept and philosophy foresees a consequent automation and integration.

The textile integration of our technology into girths, wireless charging functionality and an automatic data transmission to local servers allow performing training sessions without any disruption and additional engagement of staff.

IN THREE LEAN STEPS, FOURSENSE TRANSFORMS
KEY MEASURES INTO HIGHLY INFORMATIVE REPORTS
AND DOCUMENTATIONS

1. DATACAPTURE IN REAL TIME

2. SERVER PROCESSING AND STORAGE

3. VISUALIZATION AND INTERACTION

The fully automated and embedded high-tech sensor technology captures parameters as:

  • Training duration
  • Warmup / Cooldown
  • Heartrate
  • Training intensity
  • Pace patterns (Walk, Trot, Gallop)
  • Stride sequences
  • Stride lengths
  • Jumps
  • Route (GPS based)
  • Distance
  • Speed
  • Altitude (barometric pressure)
  • Air temperature
  • Humidity

The captured data is automatically transferred to central server points where they are processed and stored for further usage.

The aggregation and evaluation of the assembled information results in high-quality analysis and reports. The output are comprehensive training documentations, training journals and statistical detail information for long-term studies and monitoring.

Via enhanced web access, modules the measured data can be accessed and retrieved from any place of the world either by desktop or mobile devices, Internet access provided.

The data will allow the trainer to have a currently unavailable detailed view of accurately what the horse is doing in training from specific movement patterns to speed, intensity and heart rate. Furthermore, the data provides an indication of the health and the condition of the horses. This way critical and important information regarding injuries, lameness and illness can be signalized at most early stages.

WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY?

The unit is called a 9D cube and combines geometry, accelerometry and magnetometry to deliver this detailed stream of information around time, distance, speed, pulse, gait pattern, intensity of movement and pace frequency through its powerful and industry leading 400Hz measurement capability. Currently nothing else on the market delivers this breadth and depth of data on horse performance that allows the trainer to know what the horse has done but also crucially how the horse has done it. The technology also uniquely knows automatically when an activity is being performed. This understanding of the situational context is also unique as all other market competitors rely on manual programming of activity to interpret that data and contextualize.

STABLE MANAGEMENT TOOLS

Based on customer feedback and requirements FourSense developed and launched a number of useful applications for the management and efficiency around the daily stable activities:

  • Web based lot-planning tool
  • Stable manager
  • Jockey application.

MONITORING AND SAFETY FOR LEISURE RIDERS

In a next development phase, FourSense aims to unlock the leisure rider market by entering into a new dimension of wearable technology and Internet of things combined with mobile apps. Based on the success of the solution being in operation at professional studs FourSense will launch mobile solutions for the ambitious leisure rider with features as status prompt, daily activity report and safety companion “Guardian Angel”.
